Hell Before Night [Command #42] Errata and Q&A

===========================
(Answers are from Chris Perello)

Counter errata

The Union 5OH artillery does not have reduced values on the reverse/disrupted side.
IT SHOULD BE THE SAME AS THE OTHERS; WE'LL PRINT A REPLACEMENT NEXT ISSUE.

The Confederate 5MS infantry has a range of "8".
SHOULD BE A "2".

Rules errata:

5.7 If a "questionalble" unit passes its morale check, should the "questionable" marker be removed?
YES

5.9 May ES be used to replace eliminated artillery?
ONLY FROM THE "AA" MARKER OR WITH A LEADER'S HELP.

5.9 What units may be replaced by the Union AA and US ES?
AA= ARTILLERY, US = THE US UNIT IN BUELL'S ARMY.

10.8/10.9 It is possible in the course of the combat phase for units to find themselves in EZOC due to advances after combat. If these units are not attacked by the advancing enemies, may they then receive volley/charge markers?
NO; THE UNIT HAS TO START THE ENEMY COMBAT PHASE IN AN EXOC AND NOT BE ATTACKED.

7.5 Although morass is said to block LOS "through" the hex, this is not true of stream/thicket, which is the normal terrain in some of the starred hexes. According to the rules, whether a hex is actually morass is not known until entry. If morass does block LOS in a manner different from the normal terrain in some hexes, should not the attempt to trace LOS through the hex reveal whether the hex is a morass? If not, then you have a situation where LOS status changes between the times before and after a hex is entered, which is obviously nonsensical. Perhaps, if it were allowed to trace LOS through the morass hex, then it would be possible to retain the mystery of whether the hex were morass, and avoid an unrealistic variance in LOS due to hex entry? ( I am guessing that the streams in this game are below the level of the surrounding terrain, which explains why LOS is traceable through stream/thicket, but not into/out of it. Unless something in the morass rose higher than what is in the stream/thicket, I would think they would have the same effect on LOS traced through them.)
WOW, GOOD POINT. I THINK YOU ARE RIGHT, THE BEST SOLUTION IS TO DROP THE LOS BLOCKING ABILITY OF THE MORASS HEX.
