Rules
3.3 Control (clarification) - An unoccupied VP hex adjacent to one (or more) units from each side is not controlled by either player. One player or the other must occupy the hex, or must have a unit adjacent to the hex with no enemy unit adjacent to it. Once controlled by a player, it remains under his control until his opponent gains control.
There is no rule 10.8
11.0 Combat Example - The reference in Round One to Union unit 5 should be to Union unit 7. The reference in Round Two to Confederate unit 5 should be to Confederate unit 6.
11.5 Combat Procedures (clarification of Paragraph 5) - The decision to retreat from combat is made for each individual combat, not just once for each army.
11.11 Confederate Elan (correction) - The Confederate player adds 2 to his attack die rolls, not "1"; the table on the CRT is correct.
Counters
The 23 XII Corps counters should have a green band on their backs as well as their fronts. We will print replacement counters in issue 24.
Confederate unit 38 should have a morale of "0" at step strength "3". The other step strengths are printed correctly. Confederate unit 14 has a morale of +1 as a step strength of 4, -1 at a step strength of 3. This is not a misprint.
As we promised earlier, this issue's countermix contains replacement counters for the Union XII Corps in issue no.22's Antietam game, this time done up with their proper green stripe on both sides.
